CHANGING THE MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH

Nestlé Health Science is a global company, headquartered in Epalinges (near Lausanne), Switzerland and employing around 3000 people worldwide. The company was initially founded on the HealthCare Nutrition business of Nestlé Group. Already, through our portfolio of consumer self (pay) and medical nutrition (mainly prescribed) brands, every day we address the specific nutritional needs of almost two and half million people and tens of millions on an annual basis.

To build a transformational pipeline, we are actively involved in identifying and commercializing fundamental scientific advances in understanding how nutrients can be used to impact disease at a cellular level to promote positive patient outcomes. Our activities to date include a number of acquisitions and investments, including Vitaflo – a portfolio of clinical nutritional solutions for metabolic disorders (especially inborn errors of metabolism, IEM); Prometheus Laboratories – diagnostics and pharmaceuticals in gastroenterology (GI) and oncology; Pamlab – prescription medical foods for the nutritional management of patients with brain and metabolic disorders; Nutrition Science Partners (joint venture) – exploring the potential of botanical-based nutrients, focusing on gastrointestinal disorders; and Accera (minority stake) – supporting trials of a nutritional therapy for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

With access to the proprietary research of Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences set-up simultaneously with our own company, and the taste and nutritional expertise of the Nestlé Group to draw upon – we are well positioned to fulfil our ambitions through innovative nutritional solutions.
